DOE Excess Spending On Supervisors Is A Myth
#11
Christina Kishimoto's statement could be considered self serving too. She is top of the management chain.
...
Is the DOE budget available to the public?

It would be interesting to see some direct comparisons. For instance, in the budget, how do teacher salaries compare with supervisors salaries?

Ninety-three percent of the state’s budget is in schools

What does that include anyway? If it includes buses and food, what else is a part of the 93%? Buildings? Repairs?

They wrote a book about promoting to the highest level of incompetence. The Peter Principle.
DOE salaries easy to find on Google: Superintendents $120-$200K annual, Teachers $22Hr https://www.civilbeat.org/2016/01/civil-...N1F8K68O7X

Categories like food or transportation are too broad, and likely also include administrative overhead. "Supervisors" leaves out a lot of people too. The real numbers you want are the overall budget, teacher's compensation, and all other compensation broken down by function.

Even in the middle of the summer the schools are attended by administrative staff and custodians.
