It's Punaweb Party Time
#11
I know it's still far off but chime in if you think you are going to attend, this way it makes it a lot easier to let everyone know what they need to bring with out spending alot of extra $$$$. I see all our very close friends have let us know already.
I've spoken to Royall and Cathie and they will also attend. We can't wait till' we get to see all of "Yous Guys" again.

If you think health care is expensive now, wait until you see what it cost when it’s free...now here come the taxes.....

I will already be in Puna cleaning up my new (old Nanawale) house, so I'll be happy to take a break and party! I'm looking forward to meeting some Punaweb folk.

Any of you folks out there who need a little incentive to sign up for the party should know that the food is always superb. And with Jayne as the lead cook and hostess, oooooh la la!

You will be far less cheerful if you miss this,

Jerry

My husband and I would be interested in attending. Only thing is our car won't be there yet. PASHA's sailing schedule was delayed and so it won't be there until August 16th. So I don't know yet if we're going to rent a car for the entire 3 weeks we'll be without our car. We may just bike it for a while as we'll be in Hilo. Anyway, that was probably too much info, but we will try to make it and I will keep you posted. We would love to meet new people. We fly in next week! Whew!

Aloha,
Lynn & Bob Timble

P.S. If anyone has a car we could borrow until our car gets here we would really appreciate it. We could negotiate something perhaps.

Lynn and Bob,
You guys are more then welcome and it would be a great opportunity for you to meet and talk story with many of the Punatics. It is quite possible that you could catch a ride with someone that is coming. I don’t know what your other plans are, but a car is essential to get around Puna. Also, The bus stops right in front of our house. I don't know what the schedule is on Sunday maybe someone can help me here?

The HELEON Pahoa bus does not run on Sundays (only one run a day on Saturday). The bus does offer a great way to get around on the weekdays, and does run to Waikaloa on the weekends. Shedules are at:

(currently the site is down...)
Lynn, email us if you do need a ride, as hubby is probably picking me up after a 1 1/2 week field course at UHH on Sunday (may stink...) & we plan to go to the party (if the class is running late & I cannot attend, he still would be in Hilo Sunday morning, heading to the party....) kidsdivein@usa.com

Hey, I only know the routes 'cause that's how I get to school.... On da' bus (OK, maybe I'm a little thick, but typing this was the first time I realized how close Chicago "da Bears" & Hilo are...)
