Ripped off in Hawaiian Acres

Peter, I posted your 2 links on Facebook...maybe if others can do that, it may make IDing the person mo'betta.

I do hope you get your stuff back, & though I used to abhor cameras popping up everywhere, I now strongly believe that the best solution is good surveillance imaging & getting those images out to a network of friends.... as anyone who knows the person trying to fuel up probably would recognize them in those images!

ETA: & letting as many in your area KNOW you have high quality imaging...never would jump to conclusions, but once the police knew the quality of the images we were taking & the fact we could easily get them copies of images & ID their vehicles responses to a call for a break in at our neighbors...we have not had a reason to call them again...

The 'County Jail' model of home living. Hmmm. Enticing!

Sir, the police have just (11:07am) been dispatched to a sighting of your truck. Heard your name as "RO" (registered owner), officer responded "stolen truck"; several are heading to location.

Best to you, Sir. So sorry you have to go through this.

Well I got most of my truck back. It looks like it was in a demolition derby. It starts but won't go. The rippers left lots of their own stuff when they abandoned it including a sleeping bag with a somebodies name on it and a keyring with keys to 9 other vehicles including a motorcycle or ATV. The cops were all over it with DNA test kits, fingerprints, photos...They are getting sick of the epidemic too.
We already have a good idea of the identity of the person trying to use my gas card. I'm feeling encouraged.

Today a maroon 4 door sedan pulled into our driveway up to our gate and were peering as if trying to see inside our house. When they saw my wife they sped off.

Where was the robbery in Orchidland?

How were they able to steal it? Doesn't the key have the embedded chip or did you leave the keys in it?

some vehicles just use a regular key. thieves just punch the ignition switch and then a regular screwdriver is their key.[/i]

How were they able to steal it? Doesn't the key have the embedded chip or did you leave the keys in it?
