I contacted our senators and congress people when the CARES act was being debated and asked them to tie any of the post office relief dollars to be contingent on them providing residential mail delivery to rural Hawaii, or at least something better than the current system where people live in areas where it's impossible to reach a post office on foot or via public transit, there is effectively no mail for them.

The only replies I got were asking me to donate to their campaigns. I eventually had to put them all into my spam filter.

Honestly, the USPS should contract FedEx to deliver our mail even if it's only once a week. The USPS is their largest customer, so it's not like they aren't already moving the mail. It might even save them money versus paying postal workers to serve thousands of us waiting in line several times per week.
