As someone who lived thru polio epidemics and witnessed small pox, I don't think vaccinations are the work of the devil. Is there mercury in some vaccines, you bet. Is the benefit to risk ratio very heavily in favor of vaccination, yes. Should they be mandated probably not, however if you choose not to vaccinate then you assume any and all risk and responsibility including medical and financial costs associated with the disease in question.

There are those of us out here that haven't had the pleasure of meeting you but we heard of your good works. My wife and I received visions and messengers of the danger these plagues, I lost my brother to these vaccination/chemtrails. So I appreciate what you have done and others will also. Just to make sure we are all on the same page. The County Code of Ethics is not in the County Charter. It is located in the County Code. The Charter merely states the minimum requirements for the Code of Ethics. You didn't think the politicos were going to let the control of their own behavior out of their own hands did you? The County Council writes and changes the code of ethics.

We could change the charter, but then the Council would be required to change the county code before the Code of Ethics would be changed. How much wrangling do you think would take place for that to happen? How much taxpayer money would be spent to delay, modify, or change any such action? Look how the piggys at the trough always squeal when a referendum or other grassroots action takes place. The county clerk always finds too many pain-in-the-ass taxpayers that don't fit the criteria (read aren't worthy) of being represented by government that he or she can remove from any petition. You don't think the piggys are going to roll over and let us make them accountable do you? As I write this, the Board of Ethics is working to kill or neuter Billy Kenoi's proposal to tighten the ethics rules.

Why do you think it is not a violation of the rules of ethics for a county officer or employee to lie in Hawaii County, yet you or I might be prosecuted for lying to one of them?

One more thing, You don't choose what goes on the ballot. People who are appointed by the people who have a vested interest in keeping you from having a real say in what goes on, put things on the ballot. You only get to vote for the things they have already vetted. There will be no real improvement because of the Charter review Commission. The every 10 year charade is merely camoflague for having the party put the questions on the ballot, as happens in communist countries. And no thois is not about Democrat vs Republican. The party in this case is the people who have grabbed the reins of power and don't want to let go no matter what we tell them. Remember the slimey case of Jimmy Arakaki.
