Policing of patients
#21
Amen, deborah, never lose compassion ...
Just like the old song by Phil Ochs, "There but for Fortune, go you or I."

Dr. Laurie Hopman is very good. She does not push meds at all. I've been seeing her for four years, and she has only suggested I try one medication, and that one took care of something I'd been seeking relief for for almost twenty years, which no one else had thought of!

She does take insurance, including Medicare, but not Quest. However, she may not be taking new patients, but her PA Lauren is taking them. Family Medicine Center, next to the Ben Franklin's center on Kilauea.

Your doctor sounds great, deborah, but maybe you could find someone for more pedestrian concerns that would be covered by insurance, you know, see two providers and save the expensive one for the things only he can deal with.

"And I'm sure it wouldn't interest anybody, outside of a small circle of friends ~ Phil Ochs
