Letʻs see if this new law helps.

Another update on the thief caught by police over a year ago.
He’s had either 6 or 7 court hearings, showed up for 2 or 3.  Each time the judge would postpone another month until last week, finally, the thief couldn’t be bothered with showing up again so the judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest.  Not sure what that entails but probably something like Double Secret Probation?

Judge’s time, prosecutor’s time, public defender’s time, prosecutor’s office victim’s assistance worker calling me each month with an update.

The only person not wasting time?  The thief when he doesn’t show up.

Would love to know how many crimes the guy has committed in the mean time.

how many crimes the guy has committed in the mean time.

Good point.
I speak with victim’s assistance after every scheduled hearing.  They inform me whether the defendant showed up or not and if a reason was offered, or if he appeared but claimed he was not prepared.  Not once did he ever say “I couldn’t get time off from work.”

This isn’t a trail cam, but is cheap and works well inside and possibly well protected outside.

PRO:
Cheap
AAA Battery and 120 AC
Multiple settings and volume
Loud if necessary

CON:
Recommended for indoor use
If used outside it may disturb nearby neighbors

I just installed them, with a screw.  My old Radio Shack motion alarms finally gave it up, and these look like a decent replacement.  As I noted earlier in this thread motion lights aren’t always effective.  Motion alarms send them running.

I bought from Amazon. Because thieves are worse than Bezos.
