I don't understand, who/what seems to have my interest? If you're referring to the Billy situation, isn't it everybody's responsibility to examine political candidates? You know, as opposed to ignoring everything you don't want to hear and instead saying "The source won't give their name so I won't look at the evidence."

Aloha George. I posted to Damon's blog without thinking about ID since I use Kapohocat here all the time with my real name in the signature line. Dont want to say its all about me, but if you did see that and it was Kapohocat... here is my real info...

For me, this is how I personally relate to these issues. That is me. (And JUST FYI, today it is all about me! [Big Grin]). You may have a bias for how you believe items, so does everyone. My old grandpa (MHRIP) just didnt believe a thing women said, he had to confirm it himself. Whatever. We all have our own value systems. My value systems runs to people standing up for what they believe in. And just so you know I am not a Billy supporter. I really havent made a decision on any one except for who I have eliminated from my choices (of which there are 2).

Hey Damon, what you wrote was you would start moderating your blog because there were too many people trying to sell Viagra and such on it. Now you say you're moderating it because... hell, I really don't see why you're blocking postings other than you really are in the bag for Billy.

Until your post I didn't know anything about you, including that you are a woman. In my original post I was referring to someone named Nalani or something like that, but that's a very minor point.

The point I was trying to make was that anonymous information has been the mainstay of reporting since the beginning of time. Think Deep Throat, think Organized Crime, think of any time you might know something about someone who can cause you or your family physical or economic harm and how willing you would be to disclose your name while you divulge the information about them. If you want an example of what happens when you put your name out look at Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame to see what can happen to you. In this case it's also wise to remember that Mr. Kenoi does, admittedly, have known associates who are convicted murderers. Knowing that would you be anxious to 1) get the police reports out and 2) keep your name a secret?

Damon and Hunter keep saying that because the author of akamaivoters chooses to remain anonymous the police reports published on that website somehow don't count. I mean, anybody who gives that any thought, and who isn't in the bag, should be able to figure out that position is ludicrous.

In the case of the post I tried to put on Damon's blog, I was just trying to point out that while Damon riles against anonymous sources who try to publish things he doesn't like because he says they're sleazy, posters on his blog who do agree with him he congratulates, regardless of their desire for anonymity.

One of Damon's answers to that is that it's his blog and he can do what he wants. I agree, he can. But all of out here in internet land should possibly have some understanding of where Damon and Hunter are coming from, dontch'a think?

Get a grip.

I said "I don't doubt the content of the site".... what does that mean to you?

I have always said from the very first post that I posted on my blog that I think it's a smear only because of the fact that the guy was anonymous.

Had he came out with all sides of the story on his blog as well as identified himself and what his motivation for making the site was *edit* then he would have more credibility, but he DIDN'T so*edit* then to me... it's still a smear.... (and the content of the site, correct as it is... has nothing to do with my thoughts on the author of the site)

The site has now personally bashed Hunter. What in the heck does bashing a personal blogger have to do with being an Akamaivoter?

If you can't see the slant in what is, then no worry. Trying to persuade people that this akamai voter site is not bogus will not work. We are much smarter then that.

What will this Akamai Voter site turn into after the elections? Thin air is my guess. Hunter's blog will long be around long after this Akamai goes for his hit and run during this election season.

Why I even bother... I just don't know.

I dont think I have rose colored glasses but I do not even think Hilo politics is so important to be terrified of murderers. Again this is my opinion. You would have earned more believability from me in your reply if you had used an example at least from Hawaii.

You refering to this Valerie plame the CIA Operative and her husband Joe Wilson:

Valerie Plame Wilson,... the wife of former Ambassador Joseph C. Wilson, IV, is a former United States CIA Operations Officer, whose covert identity was classified. After working for the CIA for twenty years, she retired in December 2005, as a result of the publication and compromising of her classified cover identity by an American journalist in the summer of 2003.

On 14 July 2003, Robert Novak identified "Wilson's wife" publicly as "an agency operative on weapons of mass destruction" named "Valerie Plame" in his syndicated column in The Washington Post. In that column Novak was responding to an op-ed entitled "What I Didn't Find in Africa," written by Wilson and published in the New York Times the previous week, on July 6, 2003. In his op-ed, Wilson stated that the George W. Bush administration exaggerated unreliable claims that Iraq intended to purchase uranium yellowcake from Niger to support the administration's arguments that Iraq was proliferating weapons of mass destruction so as to justify its preemptive war in Iraq.[10]

Novak's public disclosure of Mrs. Wilson's then-still-classified covert CIA identity as "Valerie Plame" precipitated what is known as the Plame affair.leading to the CIA leak grand jury investigation, which resulted in the indictment, conviction and commuted sentence by President Bush of I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby in United States v. Libby on charges of perjury, obstruction of justice, and making false statements to federal investigators.

As I read, Ms Plame aka Mrs Wilson is still alive, correct? And akamai voter isnt a CIA operative ? Or if they are Hilo really has gone big time! [}Smile] Better watch out Rob and James! [Big Grin]

First, some people are inherently more cautious than others but that doesn't invalidate what they say, and it certainly doesn't invalidate police reports.

Second, if you think this is just about Big Island politics you are pretty naive.

Third, you might what to read this article thoroughly: http://starbulletin.com/2004/02/09/news/story2.html keeping in mind where Ethan Motta and the alleged "Godfather" live.

Billy Kenoi, a defense attorney if I'm not mistaken, has associated with criminals? Ya think?

I guess most cops I know have also.

I'm sure somewhere along the way Billy's represented someone found "not guilty". Doesn't that also imply that he associates with the innocent?

Convicted felon Jim Albertini is someone who I admire. Does that make me corrupt?

I don't believe Damon's "in the bag" for Billy, but I am; and I vote.

Thanks! I appreciate being called naive. I deal every day with conspiracy theorists ad nauseum so naive is a real compliment.

So George who do you suggest me,who is naive, vote for?

I don't think Billy's old enough to have been on the "Grassy Knoll", but it's possible that a relative of one of his clients was.[Wink]
