HPP Board 2014
#41
@kahunascott...Second, only after the employees were terminated could the new board look into any discrepancy's in bookkeeping so that's after the fact.

soooo...you and laughinggirl kept the hppoa bookkeeping/financial books to yourselves?...something doesn't sound right with that statement

Your "understanding" is indeed exactly hearsay and incorrect.

Holey donut batman!!

For those of you who aren't aware there is a subdivision in danger of being overrun with lava. Let's see if we can come together as a community and drop the HPP backstabbing, name calling, insinuating, etc. It appears to be taking over Punaweb the past several months. It is rather evident that you cannot have a civil discussion regarding the HPP board as everyone knows they are right and not willing to budge.

How about you all come up with your own facebook page or something and do your bitching there and leave Punaweb to be a resource for the people/community and not an HPP bitching forum?!?!?!?

It's a HPP thread why is anyone not from HPP bothering to read it. I don't read or comment on other people's subdivisions that's there business.

Actually that would be "their" business.

Because it seems to be taking Punaweb over lately. I am sure I am not the only one who is thinking it I just the only one who has bothered to say anything about it....

Fair enough, like I previously said, I have no dog in this fight so I won't comment anymore and people from HPP fee free to continue to dominate Punaweb with your board issues.

It's a couple of threads out of hundreds. And most have HPP in the title so you don't have to waste time looking at it.

And about a quarter of the people of Puna ( district 4 and 5) live here. I don't know the numbers on the partial districts

"Reasons why the 3 staff were fired has been publicly addressed:
At the first large meeting where the new HPP board was sworn in. Janice explained to the membership why the GM and the 2 other staff were fired."

Are you asserting that 'Janice' discussed personnel matters in public in contravention of Hawaii Revised Statutes 414D (governance of non-profit organizations) and 149 and 155 (employees' right to privacy)?

Will you testify to this at her trial?

Hey Karma,
My first name is Steve and I live here in HPP. I plan to be at the meeting tonight and I may choose to speak. I am not on the board or any kind of ex-board member or employee. What I am is a homeowner who is concerned about the apparent insanity of the "new board's" actions and the threat of legal liability while a bunch of self serving fools are pretending to represent the people of HPP.
What I want to know is who is the Grand Puppet-master of the idiots? I doubt they actually thought through any of the legal implications of their actions or the potential consequences. I am currently paying about $275 a year for "road fees" and would prefer that the money go to maintaining the roads and right-of-way that to pay legal fees, and I really don't want to have to pay fees to cover the foolish actions of a herd of rogue sheep. Just who is the puppet-master, and why aren't you concerned about their anonymity?

That is a clear assertion of fact. You claimed it is what was said at that meeting.

You may have no choice about testifying at a trial. You could be subpoenaed and would then have to appear in court or face the consequences.

Of course, the question of your testimony in Janice's case may be moot. Since you repeated what she said about the employees - in public and in writing - you could easily find yourself as her co-defendant.
