It's more about whisky rather than whiskey. Whisky tends to use water from peat. At least that's what I've gone with for years. But I do love a good Irish Whiskey, just like my father did. Now you continue.

Pussers makes rum. I guess confusing whisky and rum is an easy mistake to make for someone like you, whether it's from your or his story.

Speaking of carbon,

One year I indulged myself and bought a Whisky Advent Calendar, similar as to the link below (I'm sure the content of the link changes seasonally because.... Advent).

The best part of the calendar is not just the variety but also the fact it contained tiny samples of years and varieties I could never justify the expense of trying any other way. I enjoyed every sample except one. It was a peated variety but instead of using smoke from the peat, I think they used the smoke from a dirty pickup truck load of cigarette butts.

Yes on the butts.. I don't know how people drink that.
Younger Days we would buy the dustiest, most mystery bottle we could find off the shelf of the asian markets. Even the workers didn't know what it was.

Horrible is description. And cigarette butts matches later in life trying some High Brow stuff.
