You had to say it twice, but please explain what "vaulted" means because it doesn't make sense.

You're an Olympic scientist?  Who knows what Ele meant.  I wonder if Ele even knows.

He's a pole vaulting scientist?  That's cool.

What's your favorite track and field event?

I regret not attempting the hurdles in HS.  The coach worked really hard at getting me to try out.

Back on topic, I wonder what percentage of island residents would be wearing masks indoors if it were recommended rather than required.

recommended rather than required

No need to wonder -- without enforcement, the whole island is an experiment, just cruise around and gather data.

Talk about getting you on the backside, them buggah's are pricey..

For the exhaust port on my reusable 3M masks, I have both full face and half, I use a non-woven type cloth I've been using to make the disposable inserts some of the cloth masks I've worn have provided for. It works pretty good. Inside the mask there are two rubber studs sticking up, from the check valve assembly in the exhaust port, that I make holes in the cloth for, and it slips over those and stays in place without any other finagling.

As to the importance of arguing masks to the public discourse.. it's nice to see you back ironyak!

Long's is handing out free N95 masks at this time. 3 per customer.

A friend of mine was refused entry to KTA because his N95 had an exhaust valve.

Because of this MM, I wondered about the mask you are using, but it seems you have it covered. But, if you are confronted by the mask police, don't you have to take your mask off to show them?

I too would like to say welcome back to Ironyak.

Makes sense for a vaulted astronomer.  The atmosphere is probably clearer at the top of the jump.
