Sure about that? 

I drive from Hilo to Kona and back every day.

I see all kinds of people on the roads. Have not seen ANY wearing ANY masks for months.

Even in Hilo, Puna, Kona and going back and forth.

One exception - I see most EMT workers are still wearing them. Which makes a lot of sense considering what they encounter.

Maybe, just maybe, the ones you see wearing masks are trying to protect themselves from your own odor, or they could be all the "street urchins" out to get you on your "gauntlet" in downtown Hilo when you step outside your "defined border zone?"
