Did you confirm either of those statements with any of the former employees? Or are you simply accepting the self-serving word of the Board?

The members meeting was hijacked by people who do not know the facts. Tried to railroad the board. Ran a kangaroo court. They presented options and rumors as fact. Never offered proof. From the first time the new board took office they have not allowed the board to speak.
Most people left early in disgust. They accuse the board of not following the Bylaws. That they themselves do not follow. HPP needs a lot of work. We need to come together. If you do not agree with them they make a villain of you. The Board tried to have a emergency meeting. To let people know what was going on with in the aftermath of the hurricane. They never gave the board a chance to speak. The board member who called this meeting never said a word.Keep her head down and made no eye contact with anyone.
This small group of people acted like spoiled kids.

I concur:
There was a cabal running the meeting from the front left, seizing control of the meeting, just making up Roberts Rules as they went along, and bullying just about everyone. Their members were allowed to speak at length and repeatedly presenting their opinions as facts, while others were limited to three minutes and their comments were censored by the "facilitator" . It quickly started smelling like a witch hunt.
They kept yelling "FIRE" and almost stampeded the association over a cliff with their lunacy. They actually wanted to force the release of ALL, that's right ALL, association personnel records to the general public. That is probably illegal and most certainly would be wildly expensive.
I don't know if the Board is right in any of this, but I do know that this group is dangerous. The concerned members attending were being manipulated, and anyone who disagreed with them was shouted down.
By the end of the night people were getting fed up with them, thankfully.

IMHO the highlights of last night's meeting were
1. There is NO lawsuit against HPP.
2. Both sides( HPP board and 3 fired employees) are in mediation. They were in mediation before this meeting.
correction, confirmed today:
The letter from the attorney of the 6 directors, proposing mediation, was mailed on Sep 5 and received on Sep 8. So, they were
notin mediation before the meeting last night.

It was stated that they are in mediation at the meeting.
NO evidence of any filed lawsuit was presented.
Do you have evidence of a lawsuit? When was it filed and what is the case number?
You are making up a lawsuit to get HPP owners worried about money.
What evidence do you have?
Prove it.
They are in mediation.
There is NO lawsuit.
1) There is no lawsuit YET. The Board has not responded to the terminated employees' attorney's letter.
2) There is no mediation yet. The Board has not responded to the attorney's letter at all, including a response that includes any request for mediation. (see #1)
JMO, but Janice Ashford misled the folks by saying there was mediation in process. There is not. The recording of the meeting captured all this live and no take backs! I am going to refrain from saying she is lying because maybe she is not even in the inner circle and is speaking what she is told to do.
Roseann Mc lean - she, as an former attorney, should be a little more articulate and have better vocabulary than to use the adjective "F**K" in a public meeting. Gee, what a
class crass broad.
These are the people that are representing Hawaiian Paradise Park? Holy moly.

I am amazed how HPP owners do not pay more attention to the HOA. This must be the most useless office I have seen in my entire long life of living exclusively in HOA communities.
Why on earth, we paying this bunch of fools any money every year, it really appalling. They are not able to even cut the growing grasses on the side of the road well. They provide nothing really.
It is about time we lobby the county to take over the roads and bring water to all of the park.

Totally concur!! UNCONSCIONABLE that an an educated , PAST board member move to release confidential minutes and employee records to the general public...No wonder we are in such a mess with the Board of Heath. These people must be clueless . Their job is to PROTECT US FROM LIABILITY.
Orchestrated Drama last night complete with the good Dr. hollering "Police, Police!" when clearly, the police were not necessary. I once supported Board members who organized this meeting and I will never trust this handful again.

So if I say the moon is made of blue cheese and you say it is made of green cheese, does proving me wrong make you right?
That vote ( no confidence) was taken when more than half of those attending had left, and the meeting still was still being manipulated. Anger and emotion voted last night, not logic.
