invasive xmas trees
#21
there is a house on N. Ina street in Hawaiian Beaches that sales Portuguese cypress trees cut in the shape of Christmas trees for five dollars a foot. They smell good and no invasive critters.

We've used rosemary bushes cut into a conical shape as a Christmas tree before. They make a nice potted shrub, you can keep it trimmed in any shape you want and then bring them in for Christmas. They even sort of smell piney/resinous with a distinct eu de pizza. Other than the rosemary bush, we also have a potted "bonsai" Norfolk which comes inside each year for Christmas. It's getting about seven feet tall and eventually will be relocated out to the farm or our neighbor's cow pasture.
