will japan's fall out make it to hawaii?
#31
Taking a look at Pacific wind patterns it does not appear that there is any straight line of atmospheric flow from Japan to Hawaii.

www.atmos.washington.edu/2004Q4/101/lect13_overheads.pdf

If there is a serious radioactive leak into the atmosphere from Japan it would seem that the drift would be north and west toward Alaska and the PNW, not to Hawaii.

This is a simple film on the basics of atmospheric flow:

I am not suggesting that there is no reason to be concerned. I do suggest that it is not an easy assumption that any potential radioactive drift will come to Hawaii. Japan is far to the Northeast of us.
Assume the best and ask questions.

Anthony, I did not write the article, just sharing what a specialist in radiation had to say in his news letter.
I regret, trying to educate PunaWeb followers. by sharing this letter from a Specialist in the field of radiation. Some people just can't handle the truth and are blinded by the Gov'ts bull**** news..go ahead and believe who you wish, I like the facts from an HONEST SOURCE..
good luck to those who continue to believe the Public News..

For those are concerned, here is a email I received from a Radiation Specialist, Bruce Beach. He has built his own Nuclear Facility in Canada, called ArkTwo. For those who are concerned read the following and email him with any other questions you may have. Check out ArkTwo and his program SAFE "Safe America For Everyone"
His email to his followers:There is going to be lots of fallout
from Japan -

Perhaps it is the law of Karma.
What was wreaked against Japan -
now Japan wreaks against the world.

REALLY disagree with this sentiment. It is not bad karma that brought the tsunami to Japan. It is not sin and not anything bad the Japanese people did.

I lived in Japan for 7 years and lived just north of Sendai. I can't imagine how awful it would be to see over 3000 bodies wash up on those pristine white sand beaches. Talk about PTSD from beachcombing, that would be horrible. Those poor people.

Whalesong is ignorant regarding the law of Kamma (karma). Kamma means, in Pali, "to act with intent". The results of Kamma comes to anyone who acts with intent. Good kamma yields good results, not good kamma.

And the law of kamma also dictates that we could not ever know, nor should we care to know, the origination of our current condition.

whalesong, No need to regret your posting because of one newbie. Your views and sharings are welcome on Punaweb. It was apparent to me that you were delivering an opinion from an outside source.

Bruce Beach is *not* a "Radiation Specialist". He is a survivalist kook. It's obvious from that posting that he knows nothing about radiation or nuclear physics beyond what you can read on poorly-informed websites.

From his webpage:
Greetings, my name is Bruce Beach [...] I am a former professor of computer science and have been a student of the world language problem for over thirty years. [...] I am somewhat notorious as a survivalist having built two dozen shelters for myself and others.

So much for qualifications.

I appreciate that Paul. It seems on the internet everyone is a specialist.

You know how to tell is someone is a kook?

If both PaulW and I think someone is a kook, he is a kook.

That guy is a kook and does nothing but spread disinformation.
