A friend sent this. I found it interesting in explaining the possible changes in "background" radiation levels. Maybe no one reports on HI with his system, when you zoom out we are blank. http://www.blackcatsystems.com/RadMap/map.html

Michio Kaku says bury all six reactors. Now. Yesterday if possible.

They're hooking the electricity up now (which is what they should have had 2,000 Tokyo Electric workers doing starting at 6p.m. March 11th) and they're HOPING that it's all going to start working again. But I can't imagine how it could after the hydrogen explosions.

It's all getting a little spooky.

Welcome to Punaweb, Adam.

How are things in Nagoya? I've heard people are more worried about radiation on the west coast of the USA than in Japan.

Hi Paul,

Things are OK in Nagoya. I think. The wind doesn't often blow out of the Northeast often so maybe we're OK. But an explosion would be a whole different thing.

If you put this:

together with some of the actual radiation readings, it might help keep things in perspective.

Hi.

Interesting chart.

Here's Michio Kaku on Letterman. I think that it's eye-opening.

The best, regularly updated coverage of this issue I've seen on the web is from Hawaii's http://whatreallyhappened.com

TV news on KGMB this morning reported VERY slightly raised levels of radiation that came from Japan has come to Hawaii. They said not enough to even be considered close to dangerous.
