Wow, great timing, I'll be on island. Tentatively planning to attend my first Scuba Sunday! It sounds like I better bring my snorkel gear. As far as the pot luck goes, I can bring some store bought items if that works. Any chance you can email me via punaweb pslamont? Hoping I can get some more details? 9:00AM is pretty early, when does the real party start?  Thanks.

beejee, and other first timers. Bring what ever you like to eat and plan to share. Even Pam gets busy at times and stops by Safeway and gets one of those big party sandwiches to cut up. Big bag of chips with dip will work too. There is usually a BBQ grill there to use and there will be a box with paper plates, napkins, and eating utensils to share. Bring your beverage of choice for your self.
The party goes pretty much all day. I get there at 7:00 to get the best spot for the size of our group (35-40 very mellow and fun people)and don't leave until about 4:00 and sometimes even later. 10ish is usually a good time to show up. Just be prepared to have fun!
I will be bringing a few extra chairs but if you have one bring it, but don't worry if don't have one. I've got extra snorkel stuff to loan out if you forget. If the weather looks threatening, come on down anyway. In the almost 5 years of Scuba Sundays we've only been rained out once, no matter how bad it has looked elsewhere.
When you get to Richardson, just look for 2 green and one blue pop-up and a bunch of people having fun. There will also be a "Hilo Dive Club" banner stretched out on one of the pop-ups.
Hope you do make it down to be part of the fun. Just remember, don't be shy and be sure to introduce yourself to others so we can put a face to "beejee"!

PS. Just talked to Lawrie at Sun and Sea dive shop. They will be bringing two stand up paddle boards for anyone to try out. Also the time to get wet is 9:00 at Leleiwi. They have 8 people signed up to dive Sunday. I'm planning on getting wet too, any others? Sun and Sea is going to give a pair of dive gloves to the person with the best air consumption! Love a good competition! If you need equipment or tank for that day, call them at 934-0902

Pam go ahead and bring a BBQ. Dick usually brings a BBQ but I don't think he is going to be there this month. As far as the pop-up goes, bring it. If gets as warm as I've heard it going to be, we may just need a little more shade.

Royall: If you have some extra snorkel gear and a chair I'd be most appreciative. It'll save me from checking a bag for $10-20 on Hawaiian. How about cooler space? I can get ice from the store...

I am planning on bein' there...Jimbo??? should be working...but...
can bring THE BOX, BBQ, Shade, & snorkel gear...maybe choke avocados if I can figure out how/when to get them down & maybe chicken satays...possibly bananas, oranges, bilimbis & water lemon lilikois (they are all ALMOST ready....my luck, they will hold out till later!)

Carey, let me know if you are bringing the BBQ for sure. Bob hates to drag it along. We have extra chairs, boogie boards.
