How does it hold up to mold and mildew from high humidity/rainfall areas?

To a large degree opinions will be based on what dd they cost. Lower the cost, the higher the opinion. They appear to be designed for government uses more than anything else. World Bank, FEMA, U.N. projects.

I see no notes on the cost. Otherwise they are pretty conversation pieces.
Assume the best and ask questions.

50% deposit (min $3500 deposit) and still needs a foundation (I do not think the foundation is included in the 4 hours set up, or the packability, but they do have specs for concrete or wood foundation on their site...)

So this is a 14' round shell (seems from the lit.) or about 150'ft2 for that amount of money for a one room shell....

Seems like you can get a much better price for a shell....and maybe get a kitchen & bathroom.... I also do like less radius on walls, the arc on this structure is really tight.

PS: the pictures, nor the site, explain how you get water & electric (2 things that take planning & installation time in normal construction)...and there is no gutter for catchment so that would need to be planned for if you are looking at a catchment area.... all of this can add a lot more bucks onto that shell price... (in most homes, the shell price is a much less than the finish price)

oh, and the layout for the models with a kitchen & bath have sheetrock walls, so you are back to constructing this, and I do believe those layouts are the larger 20' dome, and all of the cabinets & such are on the flat walls...so,,,,why not start there?

Prices: $12,500 for the 20' model and $7,500 for the 14' model.

Foundation and floors not included.

Seems like a similar option to a yurt, but with a more substantial wall.

Looks like a giant porta potty from the outside if they had windows.

I guess if you were figuring in the cost of building something with that same Square footage - it is about 155 on the 14' or $110/SF without foundation - little bit high but they are definitely a conversation piece.

I notice their benefit is the simplicity of take down and put up.

Are you going to do that often? Then this might make sense but if it goes up once and stays up .... not as much labor savings.
