Training Your Own Certified Service Dog
#1
Interested in training your own service dog to develop a closer and more successful working relationship with them while saving a great deal of money? Then register for this series of 10 classes on advanced socialization and specific task training that will be taught to suit your needs.

Please note that dogs will be assessed at the first class to determine their appropriateness for becoming a service dog. Any dog that is a risk to other dogs or handlers will not be allowed to participate. Additionally, the following are requirements which will be discussed in further detail at the first class:

1) Several outings outside of regular class times will be required,
2) A service vest or shirt for the dog will be required,
3) vaccinations and flea treatments will be required prior to certification.

Graduates may have their dogs certified as service dogs. Dogs may need additional one-on-one training that is not included in this course, depending on the tasks to be performed.

For more information or to register, please contact CCECS at (808) 974-7664 or email ccecs@hawaii.edu
