PlayOn for limited home internet

Discovered an app I thought I’d share with punawebbers since I know many have limited (capped or slow) internet. This often means that streaming, say from Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime, either uses up Gb’s or is constantly buffering.

This app will only help you if you have a source of speedy unlimited internet somewhere (work, friends, etc.) outside your home. You set your virtual player to stream some show and it is recorded in the cloud, after which you can download it and have the file permanently.

It ends up costing a quarter a pop, so it makes more sense for a full length movie than a 24 minute tv show.

25 cents is cheap even for a 24 minute show compared to what I was paying for cellular internet through Verizon when it was the only option.
