The Ohia Challenge - $70,000 Reward
#1
Conservation X Labs is offering a $70,000 reward for a viable method to detect and identify ROD in the field. There are several threads about ROD and it’s affects on Ohia trees here on Punaweb. It might be a good supplemental source of background information for anyone who would like to work on this project. Here are the details:

The Challenge
The Saving the ‘#332;hi’a challenge is presented here as an open challenge to solicit ideas and projects as potential solutions and encourage collaboration. Digital Makerspace members can share their ideas and projects and get feedback and support from the crowd to advance them. This challenge will be launched as a competition in Fall 2018 with a $70K+ prize purse. At that time, Digital Makerspace members can choose to submit their projects separately to the competition.

Thanks Edge

I have identified a possible project.

I have been sailing to an extremely remote island that could serve as a last refuge point for stands of non-infected trees. These could serve as a long term last resort to fall back to if all stands in Hawaii are lost.
