Tell the board to start following the bylaws and we will stop posting.
Don't you think it important to know where your road fees are being wasted?

Some people don't like this thread but at least it's just one thread, unlike the Hawaiian Acres Road THREADS from a while ago.
This issue will be resolved and the thread will disappear when: 1) the last vestiges of the "new board either quit in shame or are recalled by the people they don't represent. 2) the unfairly fired employees get restitution and perhaps their jobs back. 3) We the taxpayers of HPP road fees are done paying for this fiasco. All I can say is Rob has much more patience than I, because if I owned this site those last two posts would annoy me immensely.

It appears that Roseanne is back on the board after resigning last month, but the district 3 director has resigned.
What is going on with this board?

First, an apology for being slow on the uptake. I just noticed the following on the agenda for the upcoming Board meeting:
VIII. Old Business: 2. Only owners in good standing to receive financial reports Does anyone know the justification for the Board's decision to break the Bylaws again? According to the Bylaws: ARTICLE VIII – BOARD OF DIRECTORS, Section 8. Powers and Authority. (m) Review and approve an annual budget and Capital Improvement Plan and ensure an annual report reflecting the Association's financial status (unaudited) and the Capital Improvement Plan is mailed to the membership and posted on the Association website within 60 days after fiscal year end. (s) Cause an independent certified public accountant, which may be an individual, firm, partnership, or corporation, to conduct a mandatory annual audit of the financial records of the Association. Copies of the audit shall be available to members upon request. To prevent a debate on whether those two references could be stretched to limit the access from "member" to "member in good standing", there are ten specific references to the latter in the Bylaws. If the Bylaws had intended a restriction on access to financial reports, it would have stipulated such. In fact, it states that the annual financial report shall be posted on the website!

quote: HPPwatchdog was the ONLY poster who said Roseanne resigned. now HPPwatchdog says Roseanne didn't resign. 4 pages back on 11/25 HPPwatchdog says: "...Roseanne Mclean resigned..." one day later, on 11/26 flyingsurfer corrects the rumor HPPwatchdog was starting. flyingsurfer says ...Roseanne did not step down". First HPPwatchdog posts a rumor that Roseanne resigned, then HPPwatchdog gets corrected and NOW, days and pages later, HPPwatchdog says Roseanne is not resigning. HPPwatchdog, get your hearsay, rumors straight before posting false information.

the district 3 BOD who resigned is Oneself, as in "the amazing Oneself"here on punaweb.
If you have read any of Oneself's postings on punaweb you should not be surprised he only lasted one Board meeting. BTW, Oneself outed himself at the last HPP Board meeting while at the mic in front of the board and membership he said he was Oneself on Punaweb. So I am not outing him.

quote: Not hearsay or rumors and here come the personal attacks again when they have no facts. For two weeks the HPPOA web site has posted that their is an interim directorship for District 8, that would be Rosanne's district so she either resigned or was disposed of either way the District position was open. Furthermore, under the listing of the directors there was a vacant by her old district. As of yesterday the opening for district 8 has been removed from the front page of the web site and her name back in the District 8 slot. These are the facts jack!

I, too, saw the announcement requesting a candidate for District 8 on the HPPOA website.
I was surprised, so I checked the list of Directors and, as hppwatchdog said, not only had Ms. McLean's name been removed, the word VACANT had been added in its place. The announcement has now been removed and Ms. McLean's name returned to the list. hppwatchdog may have been the only person to post this information, but he absolutely was not the only one who knew about it. Please monitor the HPPOA website on a regular basis, as some of us do, so you can be at least moderately informed about what is going on before making statements that have no basis in fact. |
