PGV meeting ends in arrest for RJ

RJ apparently decided she was the only person in the room who had the right of freedom of speech and chose to attempt to disrupt the citizen meeting with PGV. Someone called the police and she was then arrested. Funny how she is such a big law and order proponent when accusing her political opponents, but doesn't respect the law (or common courtesy) when it comes to doing whatever she wants in a meeting.

The last well drilled, was not in 2005, and if they do plan on using the other technique, so what? Either way, it is just steam coming up the well. Why does it matter so much that one would disrupt a community meeting and be arrested?

This is a clear cut case of mental illness. Both Roxanne and her sidekick Sativa are in serious need of professional help. Thankfully Councilmember Illagan promised to provide an HPD officer for the next meeting. Based on her 30 minute disruptive outburst, I now understand how RJ ended up with all her teeth knocked out.

E kala mai. Not justifying the outburst, nor the actions of RJ at the recent PGV meeting. However, in speaking with RJ over the years (not always friendly discussions, but good exchanges) she is quite intelligent.

I have seen many others in Puna that qualify as "mentally ill", who contribute absolutely nothing to our community. At the very least, RJ wears her heart on her sleeve, and does work hard (in her own way) for our community. Sure, her delivery needs work, no question, but she is no fool.

RJ is "crazy like a fox".

JMO.

Jeez... what a freak show. The big problem is that there are legitimate problems with PGV drilling. Its just that those real problems get drowned out by the crazies and make us all look like lunatic Punatics. It sure would be nice if someday we could actually have a rational conversation based on science and fact that wasn't interrupted by people ranting and raving.

Roughly 100 people took the time, energy and gas money required to go to the meeting. Somehow Roxanne Hampton thinks she is more important than everyone else and decided to protest her neighbors. Living in Seaview means she cannot hear any drilling activity and is therefore not a stakeholder in the conversation regarding said drilling.

The next meeting will go smoother as HPD will be present.
