Where to get a driveway gate ?

I want to replace our driveway gate with something less ugly. I looked at HD and Lowes and all I saw was the tubular livestock variety. I'm looking for a single 12' ish type,not the two panel variety.

I hired a rock wall guy to put a solar powered 6 foot 1 sided gate at our driveway entrance in HPP a few years back. It was to attach to our 6 foot rockwall frontage. He gave us a price of $2000.00 installed with 1/3 down. I gave him the 1/3 down...and he disappeared off the face of the earth.

Online orders, used as Eric has pointed out, or custom made... I fabricated our 16 footer out of stainless steel tube stock and made custom ball bearings hinges for it (automated). If you're interested in custom and have an idea of what you want design and budget wise, I might be able to fabricate one for you.

BTW... low budget custom is possible as long as the gate is only designed to keep out cars and doesn't need to keep out/in people and live stock. Our design is only based on keeping out cars.

That happened to me a few years back too. I paid the depo with a check, and fortunately the bank made him write his physical address and phone number on the back. I called him, asked whether he'd rather finish the work or go the jail. He finished the work, but some of it was so poorly cobbled together, it was a crime. Better than nothing I guess.

Any idea how much a 12' custom gate would cost? I want a Beverly Hills quality gate on a Puna budget.

I just bought some 4" round stock - at $12.00 a foot ...it adds up quick, Even welding in house.
