The new officers on the board are: President Craig Crelly, VP same person, Treasurer same person and Secretary Paul Wheeler (Dist 3 rep). The Pres has quite a challenge ahead of him being that he's been in the minority group. He'll need to be very assertive in his duties. The former Pres had hoped to continue her presidency. The dynamics should shift I hope in a more positive way as this Pres likes to follow our bylaws and policies as made evident by his time on the board since Nov 2014. We should support him being that the majority group has made evident early on that they don't care about our bylaws. I think some of them still haven't read all the bylaws.

Before the act of voting the new rep for Dist 3 in at the board meeting, he was "vetted" at an earlier date. He stated from the get go that the board makes the decisions. I've heard this come out of the former Pres's mouth many times. He didn't vote on an item because he said he didn't have enough information. Good...and then when it came to voting to disband the RTSC, he raised his hand swiftly, BAD. There's no way he had any background info on the recent incident that preceded RTSC's unfair disbanding without someone filling him in beforehand.

hi Mermaid,
So Craig is our new President, the VP is the same, which means Jo?......the Treasurer is still Janice and we now have a new secretary, Paul Wheeler.....right?
Are BJ, Ruth, Rozanne and Francis still on the board as well? Any others?
Do we now have a full 9 member board?
Not clear on the disbanding of the RTSC..... my understanding was that it was done incorrectly and the RTSC was reinstated. If this is what happened, are they considering disbanding the RTSC again? Thanks!

BJ, Francis, Roseanne and Ruth are still on the board.

We have one vacancy still. The other guy was a no show at the last board meeting so I guess he changed his mind about being on the board. Maybe he didn't like the vetting....so we have a board of 8 presently.

RTSC was decommissioned in Oct 2014 in an exec session. BJ apologized in Feb 2015 and Francis motioned to recommission RTSC. I got vetted by Ruth, Jo and Roseanne before the finale vote. Those 3 didn't want us back. Any excuse to disband RTSC and now they have a majority board to do it.

The board voted to not reinstate RTSC at the July 2015 board meeting. I'm positive it was about retaliation like it was last time. Always drama w/these people. The VP does not like rules, and when you call her on it, retaliation. It's obvious now this is all about retaliation.

RTSC is all about rules which provides safety and consistencies on our roads. An incident occurred over signage on a dead end that the VP installed not to code and not to board approval. She turned the whole makai side of that road into a No Parking tow away zone w/out board approval. RTSC wanted it corrected to what the board originally approved. One lot owner w/her own agenda didn't want it corrected, and accosted and harassed us while we were attempting to have a meeting w/the GM on her road. We were sabotaged. It was simply awful and unexpected for us. She's friends of the VP and former Pres. This wasn't about what's best for all the lot owners on that street. It was about who you know.

How's it feel? Not so good, eh.

Speak about unfair, the new board came in last year and fired Tommy, Scott and Cathy without reviewing any files or records. All they had was hearsay from the vocal minority (you know who you are) and fired us. It will soon come to bite them in the ass when they are found to have defamed us, in public and on video. Ya' gotta' love technology!

I was thinking that the RTSC should start-up again with ALL new members and just maybe the board will let them stick around.

Signage, in an of itself, does not automatically have legal merit. Were these signs on private property which "she" owns or controls? If not, they're decorative, at best.

Kahunascott, I won't get lured into responding to anything regarding your lawsuit. This is between you and certain board members who made those decisions all by themselves.

It doesn't matter who's on the RTSC. The RTSC's job would be to adhere to MUTCD standards when they are advising the board. Just as the GM and his crew should be expected to for safety and liability reasons. It's the prudent thing to do for protection of the association and others who travel on our 137 miles of roads. I believe the GM was "trained" by the VP who doesn't like rules.

The signage was installed on HPPOA property. The bottom line is that the signage was not approved, nor was making the makai side of the road No Parking tow away. NO BOARD APPROVAL. VP went rogue AGAIN.

Not correct. As people are deposed it has come to light that some people advised the board on hearsay information that was not true.
And, youse guys know who you are and soon the whole island will know too.

Your words, "some people advised the board" is aligning with defamation. What intelligent people in their right minds while serving on a board, make any kind of decisions based on "hearsay information that was not true" as you claim? Was one of the people on the board THE one who "advised the board based on hearsay information that was not true"? Lots of scenarios KS. I'll use words your friend Janet once said in a post of her's, "no one held a gun to their head".

So what are you alluding to? Are you going to sue DOE association members next? What legal ramifications are coming their way?

I'm surprised your attorney hasn't advised you not to chat about your lawsuit, with members you are suing, on HPP threads.

It's obvious that because of the law suit the board members that defamed the TE's weren't in their right minds.

All I can say is that I wouldn't want to be one of the persons that gave the board any info that couldn't be proven.
