As goes the saying..."If it Ain't Broke Don't Fix It"

I think the other component to this problem is who they hired...if it was done with HPP's best interest in mind, instead of one of the board member's, maybe we would've had a better outcome by hiring a professional local person/company instead of someone's relative in the mainland.

Hired in October 2014 and by approx Feb/March 2015 a newer board member reported at the board mtg that she inquired about the status of our website. After finally getting the name and phone number, she called the person regarding the delay, who responded she had school and work to tend to and will get to it when she gets to it. With that, the board decided to take a vote to find and hire someone locally. Few days later, up pops the website by the mainland relative.

There was nothing wrong w/our previous website yet they decided to get a new one without a board mtg & w/out board vote. They haven't learned the most fundamental bylaw still that it takes a majority of a board vote to approve any and all actions.

MORGAN: Thank you!

There was nothing wrong with the staff either but they needed to change them ALL out!

Mermaid, it is so nice to see that you have seen the light(the right). This must have been a hard pill to swallow after all the months you defended them; especially your friend the treasurer. I hope that your heart is in the right place and that you will stand beside those who try to speak out against the board and their recklessness. (when I say board, I am speaking about the original pack that began this all 14 months ago) Amazing in how short a time they have reeked havoc over this community. Those of us who call this home and care have been sickened and saddened with their dangerous actions and without consequence. Is the treasurer preparing, cooking and serving the books again? Such a violation and extremely dangerous. It could take years to figure out what has been done in 14 months yet the board accused those previously in charge with all kinds of allegations and not 1 has been proven true. It is obvious that they have behind the scene cohorts. It is actually undeniable as these board members were not involved nor even knew the employees they fired. Catfinch is right. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Things may not have been perfect before but I am betting most of us would be more than delighted to see it return to the way it was before. I know that won't happen and it is just beyond evil what has transpired. What some people will do to their neighbors and neighborhood just for their own purposes. How they can sleep at night or even show their faces is beyond me. We know they are spineless and will never admit to what they set in motion or apologize; so we all suffer. Nice huh.

I was supportive of them from July to mid Oct 2014, 3 1/2 mos. It wasn't a hard pill to swallow, it was a big disappointment.

It's been going on well over 10 mos of my not supporting them Katarina and my speaking up against them on PT, board mtgs and membership mtgs. So IMO, you seem to be uninformed on what's been going on for the past 10 months, and your accusations offensive.

Keep in mind, the board knows who I am and one or two of these board members troll and have trolled, along w/their supporters, all HPP threads that have existed on PT. I've been targeted more than anyone has because of it. RTSC has been shut down twice in retaliation and I've been harassed by a couple board members and their supporters. Are you willing to put your neck on the line like that? You haven't since Sep 7th and that was 12 mos ago. It's real easy to yack about it here on PT anonymously and not show up at meetings to put action behind your words.

You said, "I hope that your heart is in the right place and that you will stand beside those who try to speak out against the board and their recklessness."

You walked right into this one Katarina...The question is, are YOU going to stand beside me and the others who have been speaking out against the board and their recklessness these past 10 mos? What more does the board have to do before YOU are willing to stand up beside us?

How unfortunate that this level of courage and commitment can't be focused towards the County issues that created this mess.

The board has met with the County on numerous occasions and there is nothing that any subdivision can do, the county has indemnified themselves from any future action.

Very well put, but you left out the real cause of the boards actions.
There were about 5 members (some on the RTSC) that told these candidates that there was illegal actions taken by the employees. They insisted that the grubbing and grading project wasn't complete even though the GM, Road Supervisor and engineer stated completion, and of course the green waste pile from that project that was APPROVED by the board.

Because of their action the association is being billed interest on the balance of the contract value. Speaking with the contractor the interest is almost as much as the owed value and soon will pass it.
The board thinks that by ignoring closing this project will make it go away. Just the opposite, until they negotiate a settlement with the contractor the interest keeps adding up.

This is what happens when layman get involved with board duties and approvals. Great job by the RTSC.

That's total crap. "We're indemnified because we said so."

Oh well. Enjoy your drama, HPP landowners.

watchdog, it's been over a year since the terminations. Move forward please.

Hope members will try and get to the board mtg tonight @ 6 PM. The agenda was revised and posted this week. Park update, library update, food pantry, mail boxes update and swearing in a new board member. Nothing on the agenda for discussion on chip seal yet roads are getting cleared for chip seal. How can they move forward w/out discussion and vote?

They didn't advertise a vacancy on our website for a board seat and now they've already vetted someone and will be swearing them in tonight? Isn't that illegal? Sounds like the same violations as w/the HRC. No advertisement to get members, already vetted before the next board mtg, and ready for vote. So much action w/out the whole board being involved or any vote taken to permit these actions and make them legal.
