Not sure if they fit your definition of "country" or "blood test" but the 500+ semi-autonomous Native American nations are defined by racial distinctions (ie blood requirements) and possess the right of exclusion (ie the right to exclude or remove non-members from reservation lands). Because of the jurisdictional limitations of prosecuting crimes by non-members, physically escorting them off tribal lands was often the only recourse available, although that may be changing. https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/...story.html

dakine, do you prefer Dory or Dorrie?
(Note to others: dakine thinks it's amusing to refer to others with diminutives so I assume he'll be equally tickled when that same honor is bestowed upon him) Once again I ask (because you have asked it of a few people yourself): what business is it of yours? How much native Hawaiian blood flows through your veins?

Are you are calling Pam an internet bully? Seriously? From you who accuse people of masturbating while posting here? She thinks you're a complete egotistical idiot. So do I. But she's been decent to you and all you do is insult and be disrespectful towards her. As you do whenever ever you get cornered by anyone. BTW, for others, Dory is Dakine. He posted his personal information here (ironically, while saying people shouldn't boast and in the same time boasting about his book - BTW, not his book, he just posted pictures in it), and since he likes to call others by names that aren't theirs, it's not really something he can complain about. And note he didn't apologise for attempting to represent all the people in Hamakua, but only quoted a few words of my own post so he didn't incriminate himself. Not the most honest guy I've ever interacted with.

Hey Dakine,I read the article .Very interesting.
Here's a link for you about how the Hawaiian deal could play out. Maybe resettlement is an option. http://www.nrcprograms.org/site/PageServ...removalact

Wow, hey thanks for the post Yak! ...this one is a nugget for sure.
Yes thanks for the post ironyak. It does show that there is some variation in autonomy among the Native American Indian Tribes. The fact that they can arrest and prosecute non-Indian men for domestic violence against Indian women on the reservation does seem like a step in the right direction. That law is rather limited in scope however, and doesn't seem like something that in and of itself defines an independent nation. It's a step in the right direction though. As I noted in an earlier post, the road to independence can take a long time. How long has the Yaqui Tribe waited for this small change. 100 years? Or more? Mauna Kea will be a part of the lands given back to the Hawaiians in the re-establishment of their Nation As Obie's post pointed out, the land you get for your Nation, may not always be the land you expected or wanted for your Nation.
