What size container? Conen's((969-9341) has a forklift capable of lifting and placing a 20ftr provided it doesn't exceed their weight limit - 17 tons I think. Best to coordinate that in advance. If you have a 40 ftr, you may have to arrange for a crane. Someone here on Punaweb (Emily?) I believe was able to get Conen to off load a 40, but I don't think they do so normally. If you get Scooby to make your delivery, you're in luck as he is a master.
What do you have for a tractor? I have a Kioti CK30HST and it is my best employee.

I recently used Ed Anderson of A&A Landclearing (808.756.7770) to clear several lots for me and he did a very good job at a reasonable price.Feel free to use my name for reference.

Hi, David M and All who replied..... Thanks for the replies.
We have a NorTrac 25 hp 4wd/frontloader. Also have a PTO cement mixer.
David, noticed in your photos that you are using a "gin pole" hoist hooked on to your frontloader. We were having trouble finding one. Who is the manufacturer? Is it custom made.
Thanks to all who sent "D9" clearing contacts and info about Nanawale restrictions. We visited the longhouse last September and showed Liz our plans (from Argus Building Supply). She indicated that as we had all our permits already that there should be no problems.
Also, Thanks for the Conen's container service info.

Moving to Puna (Nanawale) from Kwajalien, R.M.I. Will be constructing an owner-built house. Looking forward to arriving there in May 2006.

Yes sir, proud to say I did build it myself - my first major welding project. As you saw in the pics - a very useful tool. The boompole is a standard 3ph type. I have a quick attach system (ATI) on my front loader as I knew I'd be switching often between my bucket and pallet forks. I bought another QA attachment plate off ebay and a Farm Pro 3ph quick hitch - welded together it now mounts on my FEL. Technically, I guess I could now mount most any non-pto 3ph attachment on the front, but I will probably just try the land rake.
The idea isn't original, you can find other variations on Tractorbynet:
http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/
If you send me your email, I send you a pic of another variation mounted directly to FEL. Rob may be more familiar with it as they are Castleblock clients in Hilo.
I'm seriously considering making an extension as I have a max working height of 15 feet currently.
