On October 15th, 2016, Hilo will host the 1st International AgriTourism Symposium for Hawaii.
The Hawai’i AgriTourism Association (HATA)... is a membership based non-profit dedicated to providing education and economic opportunities to members that include teaching a farmer, rancher, nursery owner, students and other agriculturalists who are interested and passionate about agritourism —- on “how to” diversify your farm, “how to” market your farm, developing farm tours, creating key (peer to peer & Biz2biz) collaborations within your community and “how to” produce value-added products.
It could be one way to create additional private sector businesses and jobs here in East Hawaii. Registration is available for both attendees and vendors:

- Be pleasant to inefficient workers; give them undeserved promotions. - Work slowly. - Refer all matters to committees for "further study and consideration. - Hold conferences. - Make travel as inconvenient as possible. - Haggle over precise wordings of communications. - Advocate “caution.” Be “reasonable” and avoid haste.
