Whatever *****...pretend all you like...time for me to move on.

I corrected the spelling of your name.

Now could you please get it out of your mind that I am anyone but myself. As has been pointed out repeatedly I am a male who lives in Kapoho. My wife, daughter, most of my cousins and friends all call me Obie.
It's my nickname and has been for at least 50 years. My mother in law even had a silver and turquoise belt buckle made with that name on it.

As ever, you are a fantastic story teller...good try though boombashbaby. (I used the search technique you suggested to the newbies) We sure could use those boombash dance parties you put together in HPP many moons ago. Good fun I heard. We need some kind of relief...maybe get the facilities cleansed and blessed.

Well as I've said before, I will NOT go to meetings. Can't be in groups like that. They will have to rely on letters and petitions for my input. Many others feel the same way.

I understand DTisme, I really do. Yes by all means, send emails (better if you include the whole board). Unfortunately, we have seen how well emails work but it doesn't hurt to try. Street petitions to get road work done is certainly another option. If no one from the street wants to go to the mtg, you can give it to the applicable rep and request they present it at the board mtg. Any action is better than none.

Forensic Accountant Discussion: The pres made a motion to accept moving forward to have a forensic analysis bc the membership voted unanimously for it, despite the talk of the costs, members thought the $ would be well spent vs not knowing what's been going on w/their $ for yrs. It got voted down pending what it would cost. The pres reminded them that the membership already had that discussion about the money at the membership mtg but still voted unanimously for it. Her motion didn't pass. Dist 2 Mizuba didn't think the board should have to do what the membership votes for at a membership mtg. (It's state law and Mizuba has a habit of dismissing this specific state law. As long as there was a quorum voting, it becomes "the acts of the membership".) Old reps mentioned they don't have to do what the membership wants.

I have a correction to make about the above topic. The majority board voted the forensic analysis down, period. It's a NO from the majority board. Dist 5, 3 and 7 were the only ones who voted YES. Despite a 55+ unanimous vote of YES at the membership mtg. YOU should ask the rest of the board why they don't want a forensic analysis...

Too bad. She provides valuable information to HPP residents.

I think DTisme has a good point. The way things stand, there really is no reason to attend Membership Meetings. Motions are made and seconded, discussed then voted on and votes tallied. Then, in BOD Meetings, Dist. 2 Representative (and I use the term "representativve" lightly) and her majority supporters always get their way, and our votes are ignored.

The BOD majority ALWAYS does what they want, not what we voted for or against, so why even HAVE Membership Meetings? Yes, they are required in the Bylaws, but what's one more broken Bylaw?

Just shut up and pay up. That's all our BOD (Majority) and GM want. The 3 Pono members of the BOD can never change things with 4-5 hard core (un )
Representatives.

I say BOYCOTT the Membership Meetings. We have better things to do than waste our time pretending to have ANY input in (our?) Association.
