"Mermaid forget this guy. He doesn't speak for everyone. Carry on."

Leo - I like Mermaid. What I think has happened is that she has been led down a path by people like you; someone who insists people are not who they really are. Now you say I don't speak for everyone. Duh.

It's obvious I don't. This is a site where one can post their own opinion. Thank you, Rob, for allowing that. I'll also point out my opinion is shared by others, but that doesn't mean everyone agrees. And that's a good thing.

But to imply I should be ignored because I don't share your opinion shows how weak your own arguments are, well, that's if you have any.

Do you?

HPP... a big bowl of convoluted spaghetti

That sounds about right.
Thanks mermaid for your comment, I found it helpful. A good synopsis of the situation.

Tom, it's my opinion that you were badgering Mermaid. Wasn't the count nine times which is why I told her to forget you and carry on. HOTPE communicated far better in one post than nine of yours. IMO you seem to be hell bent on winning every debate which skews your posts. You keep bringing up your friend, not me. Just like you I'm entitled to my beliefs and my opinions. I'm sure people are getting very bored with the drama. I asked you sometime ago to move on. Will you?

What friend? You see, this is why the thread has become so derailed. People making stuff about people and making it personal even if it's completely untrue or there's no way to verify it. I think everyone who has an opinion about HPP should post in the new 2018 thread and make a clean start and not confuse the issues with personal stuff which most have no clue about. And write in a way that's not confusing to others.

Obie - I'd be happy to meet you down there, let's set it up one day soon. What I don't want to do, however, is then become so involved in HPP politics to have to get involved any more than I am. But yes, would love to meet you!

If you want to drop me a line, click on my profile which will then lead to my old blog. My personal email address is in the profile section of the blog. Or just visit the UKIRT site and you can find my work email.

I don't have to tell friends how to contact me. Maybe it's different for you.

Summary of Board meeting 21 Feb 2018 #1:

There were 2 agendas out for distribution created by 2 different people. One was created by Dist 2 rep R Mizuba and the other by Dist 9 rep D Roe secretary (the president and secretary create the agenda according to our bylaws)

The VP Dist 2 rep R Mizuba sat at the head of the table as if it were her rightful seat, and began to chair the meeting. When the approval of the agenda came up, Dist 9 rep D Roe stated that according to our bylaws, L Laucik is still board president and L Blyth is still treasurer, since the board failed to install new officers after they deposed the 2 officers. That it should be L Laucik chairing the meeting, not R Mizuba. Long story short, Dist 2 rep argued the point for several minutes despite bylaws being read to her. Dist 6 rep P Murdoch said that the voting of the new officer seats is at the top of the agenda so why not let it go (in other words don't make a big deal of it). L Blyth read the bylaws and said they needed to follow the bylaws and that they're not to set a precedence by breaking them over this. With the help of the peanut gallery also in support of our bylaws and the 2 reps, Dist 2 rep finally backed down. L Laucik was asked if she wanted to chair the meeting and she declined saying she didn't want to be a part of the fiasco.

The board then voted in their new officers: Craig Crelly president (of course they made him president again), Jack Oskins Treasurer and Patrick Murdoch Secretary.

Shortly after they motioned to go into exec session for personnel legal matters. When the meeting reconvened at 7:30 ......more later.

Well I will be sitting on pins and needles waiting for more. From what I have already heard, it was a mad house all created by Mizuba and her crowd. Crelly is once again the president... and he was the worst obstructionist, obnoxious one we had already ever. I had a ray of hope but it goes from bad to worse. These people have no shame. They have their agenda and nothing will stop them.... just wonder why.

Don't give up, that is exactly what the office staff, General Manager and 5 on the board want (I left off one of the directors from my count since he is too clueless).
From the snippets I have been hearing, this Sunday's membership meeting at 3:00 is not to be missed, if you want real change from the status quo, meaning, the existing state of affairs.

Please mark your calendar to attend the General Membership meeting this Sunday the 25th at 3 PM at the HPP Activity Center.

The Bylaw Committee will be on the agenda giving a presentation on some VERY important items that will require your votes. The Bylaw Committee has been listening to the lot owner's needs and desires and they think you will be very pleased with their presentation. Your votes WILL count, so please plan on attending and casting your votes!
