Better start lobbying the Hawaii PBS stations. They don't carry it here.

Buzz is correct, you both have work here as soon as you get here.

You won't have any problems finding work. HPP and Orchidland are both nice places (different than each other, but nice). If there's any help I can give, let me know.

I am James and my precious wife is Elizabeth. She is (and smilingly says so) my second love -- this island was my first.
Fled here in 1974 from Oahu after finishing 4 long and stressful years in the Navy.
Kalapana, hmmm. Got my heart and head in one place at the same time; discovered life was pretty darned good. Attended Hilo College. Left (for some reason I can't recall) and went back to the farm in Kentucky; finished university there after Elizabeth swept me off my feet. Then, Philippines, and then, along with three cildren, Tennessee, Louisiana, Australia, and back to Hawaii in 2001. Took 26 years to get back and everyday I am happier that I am here.

To Calen: You mentioned your wife is a bartender. My husband surfs with a bartender and asked him if there are lots of jobs in his field. He said, yes on the Kona side, but not on the Hilo side unless you want to work in a "dive" with fights and drug dealing. We don't have the nicer hotels on this side.
