Tom K. Astronomy question for you please
#1
Hello Tom! I tried to email this via the punaweb and it didn’t work. We have a 4WD vehicle (OK’d for off-road, experienced driver) and a plan to visit the summit to see the lunar eclipse event this evening. What advice do you have for us please? And thank you in advance for your help. Thank you Tom!

My apologies, Missey, but was busy doing other things. I hope you got the chance to see the eclipse.

No problem Tom, we went on up to the summit and it was as Mrs. Mimosa described it from HVNP: freezing AWESOME!

Thanks Dan. Our cellphones couldn’t capture true images of what we were seeing up there.

Here are some of the images I took, along with the setting Super Wolf Moon from our nice WARM yard this morning:

Hopefully the chill of the mountain was not too bad .... hate for you to return to California with tales of the horrendous sub-zero © Hawai`i winters!
The wind-chill yesterday made it seem soo much worse (layers of windbreakers atop everything & still teh wind penetrated... & the stop-action shot was a trail by pulling out my fleece sleeve over the lens... every time I did that the chill went up the arm!
