Tulsi Votes "Present" on Impeachment
#1
I'm glad she's not running for reelection...what a waste of a vote it was to support her last time! She's avoiding burning any bridges in case her presidential run fizzles out.

So does she still have Punaweb's unwavering support?

“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.” - Bishop Desmond Tutu

By voting 'present', she has voted that his actions are acceptable. She is an embarrassment to her district.

People speak out about Tulsi not representing the people of our district, and ignoring her job in DC:

Sandy Ma, the executive director of Common Cause Hawaii, said Gabbard’s votes aren’t representative of the people in her district. She said Gabbard “shamed herself.”
“In Hawaii, our constituents, the public in Hawaii, especially Representative Gabbard’s constituents, have been very vocal in saying that President Trump has violated his oath of office, has violated the rule of law and has violated the U.S. Constitution,” Ma said.

According to the website govtrack.us, Gabbard missed 88.7% of the 141 House votes taken in the past three months.

@ hotpe...According to the website govtrack.us, Gabbard missed 88.7% of the 141 House votes taken in the past three months.

Your post is incomplete, a little bigger picture...

from - https://www.bostonherald.com/2019/11/19/...ate-votes/

warren - From April through June 2019, she missed 22% of roll call votes, and from July through September that missed-vote rate rose to 70%, according to GovTrack. And since October she’s missed 96% of roll call votes.

sanders - U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders’ absentee vote rate is even worse than Warren’s. From July through November of this year he’s missed 95% of all roll call votes

harris - according to GovTrack. U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris, who is also running for president, missed 82% of roll call votes from July through September and nearly all roll call votes from October through November.

Seems lots of Americans are in the I'm not being represented group...

Is Tulsi any different from the rest of the dems running for President? Not in area of missed votes, but ...she's not a lemming...My opinion is a dem will not be in the White House come 2020...

Most Americans can't afford to be represented.

Most residents of Hawaii can't afford to be represented by the County or State government.

It's even more true with "keep it Hawaii", and much more important given the overall lack of representation. Just don't say anything publicly, there's always that risk of "retaliation" -- what a great way to run a government!

Tulsi has no chance whatsoever of getting the Democratic presidential nomination, and with her recent actions there is zero possibility that the eventual nominee will tap her for VP, or a cabinet level position.

So she’s not running for President, and she’s not fulfilling her duties (voting) as our Congressional representative. She may know what she really has up her sleeve, and no doubt it benefits her, but she’s a lame nene for the rest of us.
