Punaweb password compromised
#1
I got an email today from Google saying that some of my passwords were exposed in an online breach not related to google in any way.

When I followed their links to access the breached passwords it showed my passwords for four sites.  Two of them were from web sites that have been down for years so it looked to be an old list, but my punaweb password was one of them.  I changed the password when Rob upgraded the forum software and the breached password was the new one (not from the old forum).

It's not a p/w that I reused or saved anywhere, and I have good virus and malware software so doubt it happened on my end, so I have no idea how it got breached, I'm assuming it happened on the server side.

Anyways I changed the p/w and you might want to consider changing yours as well.

It’s a scam

It's a feature, not a scam. https://passwords.google.com/

I don't know, scam or not, but I got a phishing email from an official looking Google Photos saying my photos were compromised.  I sent it to Google security & did not click on any links.  So Google may be the latest phishing craze.

The easiest way to avoid phishing is to not click a link on the email and to type in the URL you are familiar with.
