How’s it,
Just curious - would Charlie Rapoza, General Contractor (got his name from this site awhile back) be a reliable person to get an estimate on associated building costs as related to an HPM pre-approved house design?
Associated costs would be concrete, form boards, gutters, rough-in plumbing and electrical materials, septic system, water catchment system, and appliances.
Mahalo!

Had Charlie bring his crew in and do a roof replacement for us.
I did not call for multiple bids.
I required a few extra embellishments.
The price did seem a bit high to me.
But, it was insurance money.
Charlie's very personable.
After finally getting the materials together, the work moved a long nicely until it took a few days to get the cleanup finished, probably waiting for a full load.
I've been up on the roof a few times since.
I am a bit nit-picky, but I am concerned as to how it will hold up when we get our first high wind storm or hurricane.
It did look to be short, a few fasteners in a few areas.
My experiences have given me a fairly dim view of local construction trades and work quality.
I'd say he's probably at least average, maybe a bit better, a long ways from the worst.
