Parking recommendation for boarding cars.

Planning a trip to the mainland and I would rather return to an intact vehicle than not.

Any suggestions for parking options in Hilo would be greatly appreciated.

Try this :
Airport Parking

As per my handle.

I offer, less than 5 minutes from the airport, covered, off street, space for 4-6 Vehicles + plenty of outdoor parking as well.

Safe and secure, private yard.

Rates:

5.00 per day covered / 3.00 per day uncovered.

10.00 fee ( each way ) for coordinated and flexibly patient, on time drop off and pick up using your vehicle. Free with 1 month or 30 day accumulated stay.

10% of proceeds will be honorably donated to Punaweb.

Hope this sounds fair.

Great! I think Punaperson might have some competition for post of the year.

For people who may not understand, Obie was pointing out that "airport parking" = elepaio. Dr Who fans might understand the concept of the dr changing appearance, but elepaio changes his username even more frequently than the dr changes his appearance.

Wait. What? I thought Obie was offering to park Aaronʻs car at his house. In an earlier thread it came out that they knew each other. Why would Obie bother messing with elepaio? Can one of the concerned parties please elaborate?

Unfortunately, Obie isn't that great at quoting. Almost his entire post is a repost from a user called Airport Parking who posted here a few years ago and got banned. He also posted under a variety of usernames who also got banned. He's currently posting with the name "elepaio".

Basically, everything after Obie saying "Try this:" is a repost from a recurring sock puppet from a dumb troll on PW.

When I saw Aaron's post, I thought of exactly the same thing as Obie - let's suggest the uninsured parking service that was offered here years ago! However, I might have made it more clear that it was a scam.

I remember Airport Parking but didnʻt remember that post. Ok, Iʻm officially embarrassed. I find it best to ignore the trolls. But does Aaron have a place to park????

kalianna, you’re not the one who should be embarrassed.  He/they, the one masquerading as four make it hard to keep track of who said what.

It actually wasn't a scam. I actually corresponded with Airport Parking and drove by to check it. It was mostly legit and I might have considered parking a Puna beater there but it was too sketchy for a car I might want to get back in one piece.

It's in the Punatalk thread but Airport Parking is now listed as Guest because Airport Parking was banned.

I thought I knew AaronM because I had a neighbor in Vacationland by that name. His posts about his house and where he lived along with having tree damage led me to that belief.

The AaronM I know now lives in Boston,Ma. I lived in Vacationland for 20 years and the one I knew was the only one I ever heard of. My wife and I knew everyone in the subdivision from Neighborhood Watch and reading water meters.
