Thanks kalianna,
I was at the recent Rainforest Zoo plant sale, picked up a miracle fruit and curry leaf. There was a good selection of plants from a fair number of vendors, the outdoor site was well attended right at the 8 AM opening. I expect the BIAN event will have an even more extensive offering.

I went to the Zoo sale also. Found an itty bitty blackberry jam tree, and only after I got home and googled it did I believe that itʻs actually a "thing".

There was a lot of demand and pretty small selection of vendors. I’m glad it’s back but miss the larger selection of the past as we are looking for less common plants now.

HEV: 'small selection of vendors'.
Many of us old-timers retired ( yay ! ), and it's much more difficult for new plant people to get started. The cost of materials, from pots to fertilizer, has skyrocketed, the market is limited because of the coqui quarantine , and it's just plain hard work for not that much financial reward.

I found some good plants: a pantin mamey sapote, green and anuenue anthuriums and a "clock vine", among others. Yeah, gotta get there early. But nary a vireya in sight. It was cleared out by 6pm Fri. Anybody remember that old game show, "Supermarket Sweep"? I'm just glad it was back at all.
Certainty will be the death of us.

Very appreciative that it’s back and we did find some plants. My wife would know better but the black olena was cool for me.
