Is it even possible to be offended by this "aloha" ?

The writer is simply suggesting that persons utilizing words not native to their culture learn what they mean before employing them. I see no problem with that.

Some clown online told me that I shouldn't use the word "Sombrero" to describe the Toyota logo unless I'm Mexican!
LOL. He went on to incorrectly say it's actually a Samurai symbol.

Are we allowed to be offended by words that aren't words at all? Or is that too woke? What is "Puuleez"? Do phonetic words count as real words? Is "Phonetic" actually phonetic? Surely it should be fonetic? What a wonderful opportunity idiot trolls open up when they haven't a clue.

"Is "Phonetic" actually phonetic?" That's a really good question. It sort of summarizes what is wrong with the English language. (If ya can't beat 'em, hijack 'em.)

Aloha.

I don't think there's a more beautiful word in any language.

Yes, and you can only become a citizen if you realize you must put a g and in "foren". At least the US got it right with "alien" although you can spell that wrong as well. Note that aliens cause wars in movies so they're all bad, and I used the US spelling of "realize". As an alien, I'm fine with compromising unless I find it fun not to do so, especially if someone accuses me of not speaking English. Wink

I no longer smoke, so I'm not going out for a fag.

There's "psychic".

You don't even pronounce the "P". I would also argue the "ch" should be pronounced as in "church". And is it a soft or hard "c" at the end?

It should (silent l - (why is the "l" there?)) be pronounced, "per-sikk-chiss" or "per-sikk-chikk".

Yes. It was getting to be enjoyable on Punaweb again, like the good ol' days with overall kindness and intelligent banter. The nice long break from negativity had me thinking the trolls had chosen to leave, or, Rob had said enough to their presence in his clubhouse. Sigh ditto.
