I had fun even this morning. I was in my office, my Android phone in my right pocket, and talking to a colleague about various issues. Suddenly there was a loud siren sound and after a few seconds realized it was coming from the phone in my pocket. I took the phone out and looked at it, the screen was black with a big alert symbol and some text below it saying I need to call 911.
While trying to figure out what was going on, it suddenly reverted to my phone page and started to automatically call 911. I tried to cancel the call and thought I'd managed to do so, only to get called back by the police to see if I was OK.
Firstly, the HPD did a good job calling back so quickly. I explained what happened and there was no emergency and had to give my last name just to verify it was really me. Secondly, does anyone know an Android app that does this? I don't have 911 set up in speed dial but do have the non-emergency number in my contact list (I don't think I'll forget that 911 is an emergency number). I have no notifications that say anything about the call and even my recent call list doesn't have the 911 call, but obviously, it went through before I managed to hang up.
I'm just curious about what app might have done this.
