Whatever these 2 kids end up doing, I am quite sure the world will be better because of them.

And while, yes, family, culture, aloha and all that are important things, but I am also quite sure that their intellect will guide them past any ingrained generational ignorance and stupidity, and they will become some of tomorrow's great leaders.

Just thinking about this a little more. I'm a bit puzzled by the comment.  If you have a talented student, are you saying they should remain here for family reasons and not experience the rest of the world with its better education and opportunities? Or something else?

I was asking about your post (Kallianna) and how it is relevant, i.e., what does your post about family and friends have anything to do with the bleeding of local talent away from the islands? Yes, they have family and friends to come back to but, in general, that is not happening. Nothing contentious there, it was a simple question.
