Russian Sympathizer Tulsi Gabbard
#21
Tulsi Gabbard’s comments are generally fueled by misinformation and conspiracy theories.
So I was surprised today, shocked, when she said so and so is turning this country into a banana republic.
The Hawaii girl finally speaks on something she’s knowledgeable.  Bananas.  Gotta give her credit for knowing about half of the subject matter, well above her usual average.

Condolences to Tulsi Gabbard on the death of her aunt Caroline “Sina” Sinavaiana-Gabbard:

Friends, colleagues and admirers across the Pacific are mourning the shocking death of acclaimed poet and teacher Caroline “Sina” Sinavaiana-Gabbard at the hands of another prominent Samoa writer on Saturday.
Sinavaiana-Gabbard is the sister of state Sen. Mike Gabbard and aunt of former U.S. representative and presidential nominee Tulsi Gabbard.
According to police, Sinavaiana-Gabbard, 78, and Papalii Sia Figiel, 57, were arguing at Figiel’s GaluMoana Theater in Vaivase-Uta when Figiel allegedly…

I wonder what they were arguing about?

were arguing about?

I wondered that too.  Discussions about poetry don’t usually end up fatal.

I took a poetry class or two in college, and while the critiques could be brutal, everyone left the room under their own power.

FYI - Hawaii's (former) darling, Tulsi Gabbard is scheduled to be a guest on Friday Night's Bill Maher show "Real Time."

To be honest, I can't predict where Bill will go with her on his show. Challenging her or agreeing with her. At least, with Bill, it will be funny.

On HBO/Max tomorrow night.

How did Tulsi present herself on Bill Maher?  Full on Fox News segment cray-cray?  Or toned down slightly for the room?

To be objectively honest, first, I must say I did not nor will not watch whatever FOX News is reporting about the show, but secondly, I'll say this about the show:

She presented herself well. Very articulate, with a smooth and calm delivery. Bill did play a very mild game several times of trying to "gotcha" with various questions about Trump and the GOP with her, especially pointing out that she has twice sworn the oath to the Constitution, once for her Congressional Office and secondly with the Military. Bill was very complementary of her service but did keep asking several times as to how she can twice pledge an oath to the Constitution but then support a guy who has still not conceded the election. Bill, even going out of his way to dismiss what happened on January 6th, as well as his "find me 11,000 votes" phone call, to just the simple fact that he never once has conceded his loss - with Bill pointing out that the peaceful transfer of power is the primary cornerstone of the Constitution, as well as going down the list of every past POTUS Candidate who lost and their concession speeches, going back to Nixon. Tulsi remained calm, repeated the GOP Power Point Talking Points Slides with sheer perfection, but, well, let me say it this way, she would NEVER be a good poker player able to bluff anyone. Whatever she said, her face was telling everyone the complete opposite story. Like watching how a kidnap victim's face on the ransom video call extolling how wrong YOU are while praising her captors would look. It was kind of humorous yet sad.

To be further brutally honest, the other guest was Chris Matthews. In my opinion, he seemed a bit out of it.

Thanks.
She did a great job convincing voters in Hawaii that she was a Democrat, so I was curious how she’d present herself knowing Maher’s audience generally skews liberal.  I’ve seen a few clips of her on TwitterX showing appearances on Fox, and that seems to be her true colors. Conspiracy theories and how she singlehandedly tried to save the Democratic Party from itself.

Former congresscritter Tulsi Gabbard, and current talking head on national conservative news programs talks about how she can’t afford a home in Hawaii.

I can afford a home in Hawaii.
Other members of Punaweb can afford homes in Hawaii.

It was reported, by The Daily Mail back in April that she and her husband bought a $675,000 spread in Texas - on 3 acres. The article describes the place as "Set on three acres of land, the quaint property is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac boasts 2,048 sq ft and is surrounded by natural beauty and wildlife."

The report also says "Gabbard previously owned a four-bedroom, 3.5 bath home in Washington, D.C.'s Dupont Park neighborhood but sold the property for $950,000, in October 2021."

"She has since been leasing a Hawaii house on the Island of Oahu with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, worth $2.5million and located just two blocks from spectacular Kailua Beach."

But to be honest, why would she even want to live here?

And then considering in the oft chance that her "other" home becomes the United States Naval Observatory, do we really want to see Air Force 2 at Hickam every other week?

Talk about excessive carbon footprints.
