People post stupid stuff and hate being questioned about it because they can't answer it in a way that makes sense. So they hurl insults instead. While I can appreciate the inclination towards giving the benefit of the doubt (I was of a similar mind several years ago), this behavior has been going on for so long and across multiple topics that it's long worn thin for me and others. When you answer his questions, point out the info previously provided, note personal correspondence on the topic, and yet he still insists on knowing nothing, it's hard not to recognize it as a shtick.

That said, obviously no one is stopping you from assisting TomK with his basic info gathering needs, so feel free to help him out - just be sure to provide service with "a smile" or it might make some people cranky. ;)
