Has anyone ever noticed how many visitors, at any one time, are skimming the PW pages? Has anyone ever noticed how few of them actually say anything? Engage, at all? It is always, pretty much, a handful of the same "names."

I thought PW would be a good place to discuss. Some of you seem so clever- and boy, don't you know it. But think I will just skim, like the majority, and watch the vocal minority sarcastically compete, wit for wit, with one another- or tear each other apart.

Well, Patricia, not bite per se, I just like to point out sheer hypocrisy - that's all. The whole "goose and gander" thing - you know!

So seeing that you think everyone lies and only you tell the truth, how everyone is out to get you, how the car behind you is no doubt following you - you SHOULD and would know that around 98% of the 300 to 500 - sometimes over 1,000 guests on PunaWeb at any one time ARE NOT PunaWeb posters lurking to sabotage YOU - but they are bots, crawling PunaWeb looking for a crack - a crack to hack in, steal information or most likely, spread disinformation.

I am quite sure Rob and/or Moderator 2 could breakdown those numbers into much more specifics, but most are from Russia and China.

If you know how to see what these guests are doing on PunaWeb, you will see some are "reading" posts from 2 decades ago. Very rarely will you see a guest reading current postings. If you dig even deeper, you will see a significant number of guests are trying to "Rate" threads. To spread disinformation - pit one against the other so to say.

Now, on the other hand, an "Invisible User" is just that - a real life registered PunaWeb user - who has intentionally set their profile to "invisible" mode. So they can hide in the bushes in the dark. 

At any event, I am pretty sure you can justify your own actions while condemning everyone else, but hey, that's you Patricia.

And in closing, as one of our other "invisible" posters who loves to brag about putting people on ignore, I prefer to, ironically with all the mailboxes talk, use the method our esteemed Postmaster General does while listening to you:

As for invisible. I did not realize my profile was set up that way. Shrug. Guess it just means you have to think quicker on the come-back? But that should prove no problem for you.

It takes 4 separate and deliberate keystrokes to set your profile to hidden.

From the row after row of Linux lines, it appears I can only reply to my own threads. Ce'st la vie. As I said, observation is probably safer anyway. In addition, if any who did not feel comfortable jumping into this "cozy, little community," are interested in anything I have to say, they will be able to read my threads- or not. 

After my reading through the "In moderation" thread,?Once and for all, THIS is what happened:

1. The item M2 deleted was never deleted for my "protection."
a) Another, long-time PWer made a snide remark, stating that I had "posted my personal info." This long-time PWer and I have history- outside of PW.
b) I blew the PWer off. Told him "even if I did, so what," because I had no wish to argue back and forth with him. PLUS, I had/have the screenshot of what I posted and it does not contain any of my info. Here, I thought the "argument" was over.
c) Out of no where, M2 deleted my image, which I only found out about because I was scrolling through the thread. I asked M2 why they did this. M2 repeated the PWer's "concerns."
d) I stated to M2 that the PWer was mistaken and that no personal info was contained in the image in question.
e) I showed M2 the screenshot of the image and in fact, reposted it.
f) The PWer and the M2 came back saying that I agreed I had posted my info because I stated, "even if I did."
g) I returned that my statement was dismissive sarcasm, as I had/have no wish to engage with the "reporting" PWer.
h) The M2 became defensive, told me I should be "thanking" them and decided to "side" with a couple of the regulars, including the "reporting" PWer and publicly ridiculed me for calling out THEIR "mistake."
i) Being somewhat new to this forum, I found this portrayal of me as "obsessive, untruthful, mentally unstable," among other not so flattering characterizations, upsetting. And I told M2 that I would like to see the deleted item.
j) M2 never shared it. And instead told me that I (me) had posted "so many" items (documents) how would I (me) know which one I (me) am talking about anyway (??)
k) Not only does all the above happen, but after being labeled "obsessive, untruthful, mentally unstable," among other not so flattering characterizations, I was sent "on vacation," which M2 announced to all, and to which some of the regulars cheered and spent no time in mocking me further, behind my back.

As for my views on subsequent "in moderation" comments:

2) This PW "cozy family?" Yes, I can kind of see how some of the regulars would think so. And yes, some of the info and chit chat is very informative and "friendly." But there are some egos on this platform who seem to feel, because they are so clever, that whatever they or their "cozy family" think, say, share, is god's word- no proof, no explanation needed.

3) Will PW continue as a platform? It seems a shame, after all of this time, to think that it would not. Still, if some of you cannot get past 2, and make a concerted effort to get to know and understand new PWs, then yes, I definitely can see where PW will be moth-balled into just a "cozy" environment for a handful of smart, sarcastic, connected individuals, with colorful handles (kind of like truckers and ham radio operators). And while that IS actually cozy and confortable- how sustainable is it?
