Sandor Clegane

Who are we?

Some monarchs use "we" to speak on behalf of themselves and their subjects. Other monarchs use the royal "we" to assert their rule by divine right, implying that they act in concert with God.

I had to look up Sandor. I've yet to watch Game of Thrones, so I can't comment. And yes, some monarchs use the "royal we" which is what MyManao seems to be using; like me, I doubt he's been knighted by anyone, including the Hawaiian Kingdom or god. Maybe he means the Californian god?

We
plural pronoun
objective: us possessive: our or ours
  1. nominative plural of I.

Right. So how did you help?

And what's with the "Sir" thing? Do you think I have a connection with the UK royal family? It's bizarre. I'm not a knight.

However, you do think that you are above everyone else.

Whenever someone would say “we” when they really meant “I,” my father would always ask:

“What, you got a mouse in your pocket?”

That's your opinion. It doesn't make it a fact. And I still don't understand why some here get so upset when asked a question. Perhaps they think they're better than everyone else, so they feel it's outrageous that some foreign underling asks questions?

Tom, you bring up a very good point here, especially with some who feel that their opinion is indeed fact.

In my short time here on PunaWeb, I’ve encountered some who have made opinionated statements as unquestionable fact – or made bold face lies and even some who have made up glorified “stories” only to become “literally” unglued when asked simple questions about what they’ve posted.

Also, don’t feel bad about being the foreign part of the underling asking questions. The ones who get upset at another when they ask a question or two are “equal opportunity” with respect to residency.

On the other hand, there are still a few who think the woman’s place is 2 steps to the right and 2 steps behind the man – except when walking into mine field.

And when you consider Rob’s motto of “assume the best and ask questions” – it sometimes can boggle one’s mind!
