For only $48.00 a year, you can bail out HECO!

Many thanks to Civil Beat for this article this morning.

Plan To Bail Out HECO's Credit Rating Would Cost Customers $48 A Year - Honolulu Civil Beat

From linked article:

""Wakai said he’s aware that HECO’s proposal breaks down to “just $4” a month per household. But he said such seemingly small price increases are what have created Hawaii’s notoriously high cost of living."

"“After a while, ‘just, just, just’ adds up to ‘big, big, big’ for ratepayers,” he said."

That's right folks, just $4.00 a month.
(Cue starving child pictures and abandoned flea infested puppies with melodramatic music please)
“I don’t want to go into too much detail about the information we have from the FAA, but obviously it is not standard to have aircraft collide. I want to be clear on that.”
-Sean Duffy, United States Secretary of Transportation 1-30-25

Go off-grid and don't look back! Actually, microgrids between neighbors would be cool, and and still probably more reliable than HECO!
