"Super-Aged" population a challenge for Hawaii
#31
I hear you Edge. If I twist myself up in a pretzel I can almost identify with 17% of Americans' point. The panic does seem just a little overblown though IMHO.

Nothing is perfect but making sure the 30 million or so illegal aliens that the last regime allowed to join us, isn't something we should scoff at either.

It appears that the bill leaves room for adaptations and that ultimately states can take steps to mitigate any hurdles.

I wish there was a way to make everyone happy every time.

Me, I think 72 is a great age to be a lawmaker.  Do you agree with that?

83% of Americans agree

That statistic is for people who agree a photo ID is a good idea. Don’t think it would be anywhere near that high if you mentioned the flaming hoops of birth certificates, marriage licenses, and passports that the recently passed law requires, and the actual insignificant number of fraudulent votes, like the two or three in Hawaii in 66 years.

so they can prove their point.

They know Tulsi Gabbard voted fraudulently. Do you think they’ll make an example of her for all to see? Deport her to American Samoa? Ask her to resign her post?
Should she be in charge of national intelligence if she can’t even figure out she should vote in the state where she lives?

Oh boy, The Yakster gets very excited when folks say "they".

Note to conspiracy theorists: Texas does not require permanent residency for homestead exemption.

Good luck with that P’tang.. when you consider I am of the mind that every Republican should be sterilized.. literally we need to remove their genes from our gene pool.. you might change your idea of me.

That puts you in a completely different category, one that we fortunately eliminated for the most part 80 years ago.

Sorry tang, this isn’t 5 heads in a box that can quintuple the lies with unchecked abandon. Tulsi moved to Texas from Hawaii and had to have all of this to get the exemption:

General residence homestead exemption. You are eligible for a homestead exemption if you (1) own your home (partial ownership counts), (2) the home is your principal residence, and (3) you have a Texas driver’s license or Texas-issued personal identification certificate (your I.D. card address must match your principal residence address).

Presumably she had to give up her Hawaii drivers license to get her Texas drivers license to even qualify for a homestead exemption. But maybe she was testing the system, yeah that’s probably the case, seeing if she could get away with voting in Hawaii like some undocumented immigrant juicing the vote. Who knows, maybe she voted in both states? She’s on both sides of everything else.

You had me at "THEY".   Forgive me for channeling Rob but maybe it's time for Punaweb to be about Puna again.  All of this national hyperventilating here is indecorous and anti-Punaweb.  Take it to Facebook please.  Say hi to Patricia.
