For those of youi who may think that living in a rainforest makes us immune to wildfires, think again:

Twenty acres burned, but fortunately no homes were lost, just two storage sheds.  If the recent weather pattern carries on into the dry season, expect more of this.

Fire officials remind the public that there is currently a burn ban in place

Which was ignored by the person who started the fire. His comment was that he always burns his garbage that way.

A few decades ago, there was a rather large fire in lower/middle Leilani subdivision. Luckily, it was before many homes were in the area.
