And some of us read from many sources for never ending amusements derived from boneheaded errors made by (presumably) niece and nephew interns at news entertainment channels (legal description for court proceedings). Like this map showing all of Big Island owned by the Chinese, which the news entertainment channel claims the aforementioned Chinese bought up in an effort to keep a close watch on US military installations hundreds of miles away on Oahu.

That's just a little mistake in the details, right? The rest of the map and the claims are still believable, right? They wouldn't lie or anything, right? Bet $787 million on it!

Or maybe the beltway's readers' claims of Hawaii having gone all communist are truer than we know, just got the flavor wrong, needs more ling mui? If so, realtors have a new angle for foreign buyers in the non-conforming subdivisions: Tongzhimen hao! Buy now a grey kit house in HPP - several always available, matches a Mao suit, and can see Hickham from the lanai!

I'm a registered Democrat and I have voted for Republicans, Democrats and Independents. I voted for Obama.
I make a decision based on the candidates viewpoints and how they align with mine but Biden was clearly well into dementia and when he appointed Kamala he cheated everyone out of the decision process.

Do you want me to explain everything I posted ? I clearly was wrong about the marine preserve, I mistook Biden's renaming for adding to it.

Don't want to go into the rest of it right now because it's a beautiful day here in Eastern Ohio.

Hey Obie - could care less what "team" you do or don't think you're on, but would point out that voting for Trump is anything but centrist - see the several hundred lawsuits filed (with a 96%+ loss rate for the administration last month from federal judges appointed by several administrations of both stripes from the last 40 years). Dismantling a constitutional democracy isn't moderate politics and saying everyone involved in resisting that effort from judges and lawyers to PW posters and protestors have "TDS mental-illness" doesn't sound very "middle of the road".

Unfortunately, the feds have decided to cut numerous agencies and programs and implemented policies with ICE, CBP, etc, that affect people living in, and visiting, Hawaii. Hopefully Punaweb remains a place where we can highlight and discuss these Hawaii-related impacts without some people going all lolo about it.

Regardless, getting outside and enjoying the weather sounds like plan - a hui hou.

Tom, here's some advice I got years ago:  Just because someone puts a hoop up in front of you does not mean you have to jump through it.

I was responding to randomq's post, which I thought was well-constructed and generally true. All I did was add some further points that are in agreement with randomq's opinion. How that is making me jump through hoops is something only you can explain, because I don't get it. If I see a post that interests me, then I'll respond.

Some folks find self awareness to be difficult, if not nigh impossible. Say what you will, but the terms you use, the ideas you impart, and the delivery all had to be learned somewhere. Someone taught you to behave as you do. But then.. I am sure.. positive.. everything you say is "fair and balanced.."

Yeah it's why I spend 5 months of the year in Ohio. Clears my mind out. Very peaceful here.
