The Bicker Board
HiloJulie. You are not a lawyer licensed in several states. That's what you claimed. On the other hand, I am a scientist, but I have never claimed to have great stature, that's your claim and the start of your straw man. I have a PhD. Have you passed the bar in any state? I don't think so.

You make things up, I don't. Hopefully, that's the end of it unless you can show us evidence that you have passed the bar in several states. My guess is that you are unable to provide evidence of passing the bar exam in one state, let alone several. For example, provide an example of a lawsuit that lists you as a lawyer representing one of the parties.

In the meantime, most of my publications:

I don't normally do stuff like this, but you are full of lies and bullshit. I realise you are trying to make friends again with the other kooks here, but dishonesty just radiates from your posts, and that's something you need to fix.

Fortunately, whatever it is you or "the other kooks here"* suspect, think or don't think is totally irrelevant to me.

NO!

However, I may consider doing that if it becomes PunaWeb policy that ALL posters must prove they are who they say they are.

Unbelievable. Not only did you start building a straw man, but you also continue. I'm now really interested in learning about the cases you worked on as a lawyer. I suspect the answer will be none, but maybe you'll demonstrate a bit of honesty and let us know which cases you worked on.

Speaking honestly Tom, would you want me, if I was YOUR lawyer, to be posting about YOUR case where I represented YOU on a public forum for all to see?

Clearly, the published scientist with a PhD has no concept of the meaning of attorney/client confidentially, which is really not surprising.

And as I said prior, of which you either did not read, or just ignored, either way of being par for the course with you, but I (or for that matter, any other PunaWeb poster) is under no obligation whatsoever to “prove” myself (or themselves) to you, or anybody else for that matter, with you demanding me to provide one of my state Bar ID number(s), or now demanding me to post legal cases where I represented a client.

I am also somewhat bewildered in that I would think that a poster making a demand of ANY other poster on PunaWeb to divulge personally identifying information of themselves and/or other innocent people to "prove" they are who they say they are, would not somehow be in direct violation of PunaWeb rules.

Actually, Tom, you're unbelievable. But hey, your entertainment value far and away exceeds the cost of admission.

And, btw, as a novice with only anecdotal knowledge of IP law (I am the individual for my company that is interfacing with the attorneys in the development of a patent application and the other necessities.. copyright, trademark all that nonsense) I can say.. you know nothing of which you speak. Nothing.

Speaking honestly, no, I wouldn't want a lawyer who represents me talking about me on PW. But you don't represent me as a lawyer. I doubt you're a lawyer, despite your claims, and I doubt you represent anyone on PW as their lawyer, nor have you represented yourself as doing so. My opinion is that you may have once worked as a paralegal, somewhere, and that's it.

Speaking even more honestly, if you really are a lawyer, would you really make the comment and argument above? It's a stupid thing to post as an attorney; I doubt any lawyer would make it. It would be like an astronomer claiming the Earth is flat.

I am sure she's more a lawyer than you are a "scientist." She could be a cartoon and still she'd be miles ahead of you.

Seriously.. you're wholly incapable of objective reasoning..  so any so called "science" you do is complete and utter nonsense.

I've posted my publication list here again, mainly in response to your claims that I'm just a janitor working at the observatories. In the meantime, I suspect HiloJulie is somewhat disturbed that you are now defending her.  I get the "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" thing, but I suspect that will only go so far. Have fun while you two partner up!

Well, as for your opinion, you know the saying about everyone having one and something else. I'd also say that for someone who claims to be a published scientist with a PhD would continue as you have on this topic.

As for the rest of your endless babble, I would have assumed you would know what a copyright attorney does with your vast endless knowledge of all things. A copyright lawyer only in the most extreme reasons has cases that go to a court of law. In fact, less that 1/2 of 1 percent of ALL copyright disputes/infringement matters end in court. A copyright attorney represents clients by filing applications with the Copyright Office and ensuring compliance with copyright laws, including fair use guidelines. A copyright attorney negotiates and drafts agreements for using, selling, or licensing copyrighted material, and handling ownership transfers during business transactions of the client(s). A copyright attorney sends cease and desist letters, gathers evidence, negotiating settlements against infringers and rarely, if ever, filing lawsuits. A copyright attorney may also manage a production company or creator's collection of copyrights. A copyright attorney may advise their client(s) on other IP strategies and conducting due diligence on copyrighted material while at the same time protecting the client(s) literary works, music and sound recordings, art, photography, and visual designs, software and databases films, plays, and other such dramatic works.

At the end of the day, copyright attorneys are intellectual property specialists who ensure creators maintain control and benefit from their original creative expressions.

At any event, I don't know why I spent 10 minutes even bothering to respond to you, as a conversation with a block of wood would be more fruitful, since your apparent inability to read any thing posted as well as if you do indeed read it, fail to comprehend it, but at the end of the day, as I have said before and fortunately, whatever it is you suspect, think or don't think is totally irrelevant to me.

Careful MyManao, Tom might now request the FEIN number of your company, copies of your company's Certificate of Good Standing, state of incorporation, a list of all the officers and directors of your company, the law firm you're working with, along with the names of each of the attorneys as well as a list of all the cases the attorneys your working with have been involved in, your mothers maiden name, last 4 digits of your SS number - and while were at it, your AM Ex Black Card Number, expire date billing zip code and security code. Just to prove to him you are what you say you are, because, as we know, Tom knows EVERYTHING!

Just ask him, he'll tell you!

I've presented the evidence, I've published peer-reviewed papers, and that would certainly constitute proof in court. The list I showed also includes my PhD thesis. I don't care what you claim, I am officially a doctor. I don't use that title very much, especially in Hawaii, because everyone is mostly laid back and doesn't care, but you, as a self-described lawyer, should know I'm entitled to be called doctor. I don't ask that of anyone else other than other professionals if that's the route they want to use. On the other hand, I will not add "esq" when addressing you because you haven't earned it.

But you have now joined MyManao with his baseless claims. At some point, you might want to stop and think for a bit.
